Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Where do you work?
I work for The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry as the Director of North American Ministries.
Describe what you do.
I oversee our North American outreach efforts, mobilizing missionaries and volunteers to serve in Jewish ministry. My work includes training and equipping believers, speaking in churches, leading trips to Israel, authoring books, hosting a radio program and podcast, and writing for Israel My Glory magazine.I also help disciple Christians into full-time Jewish ministry through FOI’s feeder programs.
Why did you choose your ministry? What led you to that ministry?
My passion for Jewish ministry grew while studying the Bible at the Institute of Jewish Studies in 2000. It was there I came to understand God’s love for Israel and the Jewish people. Also, through mentors like Steve Herzig, my passion for ministering to the Jewish people deepened, and God led me to FOI.
When did you make the decision to serve in missions – how old were you?
I was in my early-20s when I realized God was calling me into full-time Jewish ministry. My early experiences in church leadership, leading tours to Israel, and working with Jewish people confirmed this calling.
Why did you decide on serving in this way? Why missions?
I believe missions is about bringing the gospel to people who need to hear it.The Jewish people gave the world the Scriptures, the Messiah, and the foundation of our faith, yet many still don’t know Jesus. Romans 11 shows that God still has a purpose for Israel, and I want to be part of that work to share the gospel with them.
Have you had other occupations? What are they?
Most of my adult life has been serving with Friends of Israel. However, during college and seminary, I worked at Dean International in Dallas,Texas, as a transportation lobbyist. I also owned my own cleaning business, providing maintenance for office complexes.
Do you have any hobbies or other interests?
I love music and play guitar, piano, bass, and drums. I’m in a “Dad band” with some friends, and playing music is a great creative outlet. I also enjoy traveling with my family, geeking out on airplanes, and of course, good food(especially in Israel).
Do you have a favorite sport? Favorite team?
Yes! I love football, but my heart is in soccer right now—my kids play, and I love watching them. I also follow Philadelphia sports (go Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers!).
