Where do you work?

We live and work from Dallas, Texas. Rachel's work takes her very frequently to Peru, Mexico, Brazil, and other countries in the Americas.

Describe what you do.

Mark: I manage SIL's physical headquarters in southern Dallas County. I give oversight to the hospitality, facilities, maintenance, food service and retirement housing. Rachel: I provide oversight to the Linguistics training programs in Spanish that equip Spanish speakers to serve in the Bible translation movement worldwide. I also am a multicultural teams coach.

Why did you choose your ministry? What led you to that ministry?

God has given each of us administrative skills and we use them in his service. It seems unreasonable for people who speak English to continue getting more Bible translations in English when there are still millions of people who don't have even one word of scripture in the language they understand best. We work to help eradicate Bible poverty throughout the world.

When did you make the decision to serve in missions - how old were you?

In our 30s

Why did you decide on serving in this way? Why missions?
